To all of my fans, PS Kemi supporters, management, and friends:
To my fans, I want to take the time to personally say “thank you” to each and every one of you. During my time here, we have won a lot of games and accomplished many things. But what I will remember the most is the love, support, and encouragement that I have felt from all of my fans. Both on and off the pitch, you all have shown your passion and love for both football and for myself. I will be eternally grateful for that.
To my younger fans: thank you for constantly reminding me to always enjoy life. The summer sport camps have been the most fun for me. Thank you as well for writing to me and giving me high-fives after every game…even if I didn’t play my best. My only advice to you is this: whatever you choose to do with your life, I hope that you work hard at it and I hope that you never stop following your dreams.
I want to thank my management and supporters at PS Kemi. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love to play. It’s truly been a blessing to get the chance to play football and I hope nothing but the best for you in the future.
I also want to thank my coaches. Hiski gave me the first chance for me to prove myself during my first year. Since then, all of the coaching staff has been very supportive of me. To Coach Taylor & Ootsi, thank you for making me better every single day and for always encouraging me and challenging me to do my best. I would not have grown as much as a player if it wasn’t for you. Your belief in me has, in return, inspired me to believe in myself.
To my teammates, thank you for all of the good times. I can honestly say that I have made great friendships that I will keep for the rest of my life. Thank you for encouraging me and always making me feel a part of the team. Thank you for laughing at my attempts at speaking Finnish and for introducing me to your epic “sauna nights”. Good luck this season, as I know you will do amazing. From the bottom of my heart; I hope the best for every single one of you.
I am excited to embark on a new journey, a new team, and a new place. I know that many challenges are waiting for me, but I believe that challenges are the true test of a man’s character. Although I am sad to be leaving the club that has started me on my career, I know that this is the best step for me. The past two years have been remarkable, and I can’t wait to see where my future is headed. I hope that you will follow along my journey and support and encourage me from afar.
Lastly, I want to say again how thankful I am. I am proud of my time here and I am proud of what we have accomplished.
I hope that you will always remember me, for I know that I will always remember you.
